Shelley Glessner

Shelley has been active in the Democratic Party since 1994 when first elected to the position of Somerset County Auditor - a position held until 2004. After being elected to a third term as auditor she applied for a job with the PA Dept of the Auditor General and was hired as a school auditor in December 2004. She is now in her 15th year with the Auditor General. Shelley has been a County Committee member since 1995. She has been a member of the State Democratic Committee since being elected to that position in 2006. Then in 2012 Shelley was elected as Chairwoman of the Somerset County Democratic Committee.

Last year Shelley was elected to serve on the executive board of the Democratic State Committee. She also serves as the Southwest Caucus Vice President of State Committee and has been appointed to serve as the fifth Vice President of the PA Federation of Democratic Women. She was elected in 2010 to serve as the regional Vice President of statewide AFSCME Local 972, a position she still holds.

For the last 32 years Shelley has been lucky enough to be a referee for AYSO, Pa Western PIAA. She has been a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 60 years.
